Requirements for the "ID" field of Objects

It may be the case of importing objects in which the value of the ID variable has a format as follows: "123-ab-35-01".

ID is a very special field. A correct ID requires:
  1. Start with a letter (not number)
  2. It does not contain spaces or special characters ("-", "*", etc.) except for the underscore.

To adapt the ID value of the different objects to the format valid in CadnaA, an option can go by modifying it from the tables. For example, in the road table, the ID field is selected,Change column...and the field is configuredReplace descript.as follows:

InFind, write (*) for each of the groups that are separated by scripts. InReplace with, write what suits you best. This example starts with ID (so as not to start with a number) and we have continued with "\number", being \2, the first group and then consecutively (This is because \1 means the whole expression).

The image shows that the ID replaces scripts with low hyphens and adds the letters "ID" at first.
